John Syer was an English landscape artist.  He exhibited at the Royal Academy between 1846 and 1875 and became a member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour in 1875.  His work can be found in galleries in Bristol, Leeds, Leicester and Sheffield.

This watercolour painting depicts a pastoral scene on the Norfolk Broads between Horning and Wroxham.
