James Allen was born in Framlingham, Suffolk. He became a professional artist in 1977 and a Member and Exhibitor at the Norwich & Norfolk Art Circle between 1972-1982.  He has been chosen for exhibition at The Royal Academy and The Royal Miniature Society.
James J Allen is one of East Anglia’s most accomplished artists and has regular exhibitions at the Southwold Gallery, Suffolk. His paintings, depicting local landscapes and seascapes, are found in private collections worldwide.
